   ICIC 2007 is organized by The Ocean University of China, The Institute of Intelligent Machines, and The University of Science & Technology of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and technically co-sponsored by The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and The International Neural Network Society, and financially supported by The National Science Foundation of China.

The intelligent computing technology includes a range of techniques such as Artificial Intelligence, Perceptual and Pattern Recognition, Evolutionary and Adaptive Computing, Informatics Theories and Applications, Computational Neuroscience & Bioscience, Soft Computing, Case Based and Constrained Reasoning, Agents, Networking and Computer Supported Co-operative Working, Human Computer Interface Issues, etc.

ICIC theme unifies the picture of contemporary intelligent computing techniques as an integral concept that highlights the trends in advanced computational intelligence and bridges theoretical research with applications. Therefore, the theme for this conference is Advanced Intelligent Computing Technology and Applications. Papers related to this theme are especially solicited, including theories, methodologies, and applications in science and technology. Topics covering industrial issues/applications and academic research into intelligent computing will be included, but not limited to:

All accepted conference papers will be published in Lecture Notes Series (LNSs) by Springer, and a small selected number of papers published into LNSs will be extended at the same time, which guarantee to have at least a minimum of 70% new content in each paper different from a previously published paper, for possible inclusion in several main-stream international journals. However, the incurred fees for subsequent journal publication will be bored by the authors.

Manuscripts should be written in English with a single-column, single-space format. Each newly submitted paper should be not shorter than six pages including figures and references. The format for submitted papers should refer to the ELECTRONIC FORMAT REQUIREMENTS of the Springer-Verlag. Authors should submit their papers to the ICIC2007 by the On-Line Electronic Submitting System

SPECIAL SESSIONS

 The ICIC 2007 Program Committee is inviting proposals for special sessions. All planned papers for special sessions will undergo the same review process as the ones in regular sessions. Proposals should be submitted in ELECTRONIC FORMAT to Special Session Chair, Dr. Wanquan Liu, Curtin University of Technology, Australia, at wanquan@cs.curtin.edu.au.
